Regional Director of Operations or RVPO – LTC Job Summary:

You will be responsible for managing and directing the day-to-day functions assigned to the region. He/she will assure compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines and regulations and will assure the highest level of quality care is provided for our residents at all times.

Regional Director of Operations or RVPO – LTC Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the planning, development, organization, implementation, evaluation, and directs on the facility program in accordance with established policies, goals, and procedures
  • Reviews monthly reports and statistics to determine if the facility program plan is being followed
  • Implements and monitors staffing plan, the quality assurance program, the marketing plan, etc. for the facility staff, to introduce them to the facility programs, its goals, and expected outcomes
  • Prepares monthly operations reports and facility program data
  • Supervises the retention of facility program information as required by governmental regulations and internal corporate policies
  • Assists department directors and Administrators in planning, developing, conducting, and scheduling orientation, in-service training, on-the-job training, and other educational activities for personnel so that current materials and programs are continuously provided
  • Establishes a priority system of facility program needs, and develops an agenda to meet those needs
  • Directs, serves, attends, and participates in various committees of the organization
  • Provides written and/or oral reports to management as necessary

Regional Director of Operations – LTC Background Profile:

  • Must be open to Travel
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in health care management
  • Two (2) years previous experience as a Regional Director of Operations or RVPO
  • Must possess a current Nursing Home Administrators license
  • Must have working knowledge of long term care systems, regulations, and statistical reporting
  • Must be well versed in all aspects of a skilled nursing facility including, but not limited to, business office, nursing services, social services, dietary, housekeeping, laundry, and physical plant management in the long term care industry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Demonstrates leadership and supervisory skills
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action in a timely fashion
  • Must have patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward staff
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English
